By Public Transport

  • Train – The nearest stations are Barrhill (30 min by taxi) or Dumfries (1 hr by bus/taxi).
  • Bus – Regular buses run from Dumfries to Newton Stewart. From there, a short taxi ride will take you to the distillery.
  • Taxi – Available from Newton Stewart, Barrhill, or Dumfries.

Plan ahead

In order to ensure a smooth customer experience, our Distillery Tours are appointment-only. Please make sure to submit your booking request no later than midnight the day before to ensure that your booking is placed on time.

All tours are available for those aged 18 and above. For those driving, takeaway drams will be provided.

Please note, the distillery tours are not suitable for wheelchair users, those using walking sticks or walking aids, due to the nature of some of our buildings. Make sure to wear comfortable and appropriate footwear - high heels are not permitted on tours due to health and safety regulations.

Cafe Melba at Bladnoch Distillery, currently serving a selection of light lunches, desserts and cakes. We also have an excellent drinks menu which includes whiskies, cocktails, wines, beers & soft drinks.
